BEST OF THE BEST ROMANCE READS

16 FOR 2016…

It has been an awesome year for reading romance. Β I originally intended to do my top 10 reads for the year, but it somehow grew to 16 of my favourite books for 2016 (and even then, stopping at 16 was a struggle). Β These books have rocked my world, left me pondering or wondering and slammed me with emotions both good and bad.

Again in 2016, I have found myself pushing my boundaries and stepping out of my comfort zone. Β I’m finding myself not hiding from dark reads. Β Your hell could be my heaven and vice verse.

Reading romance makes me happy and these 16 books contributed to my reading high.

In no particular order (links are to my review on Goodreads) –

Ricochet (Vigilantes #1) – Keri Lake

Reaper (Boston Underworld #2) – A. Zavarelli

Pucked (Pucked #1) – Helena Hunting

The Lightning-Struck Heart (Tales From Verania #1) – T.J. Klune

Bossman – Vi Keeland

The Trouble with Dukes (Windham Brides #1) – Grace Burrowes

Stuck-Up Suit – Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward

Idol (VIP#1) – Kristen Callihan

Wait For It – Mariana Zapata

The Hating Game – Sally Thorne

Anything But Minor (Balls in Play #1) – Kate Stewart

A Promise of Fire (Kingmaker Chronicles #1) – Amanda Bouchet

Wolfsong – T.J. Klune

The Highlander (Victorian Rebels #3) – Kerrigan Byrne

When Nothing Is All You’ve Got – Kirsty Dallas

The Player and the Pixie (Rugby #2) – L.H. Cosway & Penny Reid

Let’s hope that 2017 tops 2016…but 2016 will be hard to beat.

  1. There were some fabulous books this past year right? I definitely agree with Highlander by Byrne (she is stellar, one of the best new hr authors out there). And I had a blast with Idol—I think what I liked most was how unique the plot was. It wasn’t your average rock star romance.

i will admit A Promise Of Fire was pretty fantastic, have you read book 2 yet? that was better than the first. I just loved that pair so much.

Thanks for sharing these, and I see there are some I need to grab up.

Here is my best of book year post if you would like to check it out

    • Wow, your list is awesome. I haven’t read a few of the authors mentioned so I’ll definitely have to check them out.

I love Kerrigan Byrne’s writing and her books are fabulous.

I tried to get an ARC of Amanda Bouchet’s new one but I wasn’t able to get an International copy. Sad, but I’m happy to buy and read it when it comes out.
